Yes, I only look young!!!

about 30p a gallon when I had my first car.

You have a better memory than me, i cant even remember when fuel went metric!! lol

I do, when they couldn't get it past 2.00 a gallon. So they made it 55p a litre.

I seem to remember it was gradual, it didn't happen like decimalisation. Early to mid 90's

I thought that too, but as i said i dont have a clue!
I passed my test in 87 and cant even remember if we were in litres then

Petrol was less than 40p a litre when I passed my test in 89. My micra used to cost less than 10 to fill up. Now, TBH's 807 costs 85 to fill

Thats why i kept mine for 12 years every one would complain about the price of Petrol and i would be saying "really"
