This is from the debt collection page:
Debt collection complaints

If you are an adviser or third party organisation and you would like to complain to the OFT about the debt collection practices of creditors and/or their debt collection units, as well as external debt collection agencies, please download and complete the complaint form (word file 123 kb) and return it to the OFT by post or email.

I thought this might mean CCS could maybe use it to complain re: MBNA

Nice to see they have refused and revoked licenses this quarter, although they all look to be small bit players.

I discussed this with the OFT and they stated they would look at any complaint we made against any organisation. tHis is why I sent the MBNA dossier on to them

We had a number of OFT guys join our SNTY. Some got involved and asked our users to make an officla complaint to the OFT about a certain DCA. After a few months of our users complaining and getting flobbed off by the OFT I decided to PM one of these users. This was the response I got: -

are you the guy from the oft?
Good Afternoon,

Yes I am, however I am not able to comment or take action on cases brought to us by individual consumers.

However information received may be forwarded to one of our market study teams for their further consideration.

That reply confirmed by fears about the OFT. Absolutely toothless.

The words "may be forwarded" just about finished me off with them.

Sorry to say this but the OFT like the other so called regulators are nothing more than a bunch of useless t-ossers & not fit for purpose.

The one good thing that might come out of the Northern Rock fiasco is that Parliament are taking a close look at the FSA & by default all of the others. Hopefully they will find them as wanting as the consumer
