Ooooo i used to fix Dell laptops there was around 8 out of 10 new from production with a fault, i worked for the fall out poor customers is all i can say.
We would write in the cases xxxx was yer ../.. and see how long it would take for them to come back!

i was no techy it was a basic written programe run to show error and i used to change the component it was child play if you had the disks.

most complaints were hinges, battery doors, and case damage second to that was the dials built into the screen top.

Haven't seen an old dell for a few years wonder why

I have a Dell for work, and it gets bounced about all over the place without complaint. Even sitting in a howling gale with sea spray everywhere, it keeps on going. I dread to think what the insides must look like by now. Probably all green corroded copper I'd imagine.

it cant be one of mine it would be around 13 years old with a zimmer frame lol
