reboot=turn off then yes.

now i'm beginning to feel really stupid

don't think i have restore points (dont know what it means)

I think a complete re-install is required

If you go into Start, you will see Help and Support, click on that and then you will find the restore Point wizrd, click on that and follow the prompts, if you have any restore points this will highlight them, click on on before all the problems started and let the computer do the rest

DL, Tam, brilliant, it seems to have sorted out all my programs. they are all working now.....yipeeee

Very useful that Restore Point Wizard. It will be the first thing i do if anything goes wrong now.

It is so easy when you know how, saves a lot of trouble.

If I had Tam's shower I woud still be in there. It is to die for. It's bigger than my bathroom. His bathroom is as about as big my living room.

I will not be on the internet after the end of January 2009, so will not be around as much as usuall.

LMAO your not having my shower :d

Looks like a system restore has cured the problems so lesson learned to keep anti virus and anti spyware up to date.

Sorry I didn't call you a bit earlier Jster but I do like my shower
