talk about wasting my time and the time awarded me by the DPH
Last year i went to see a private neuro speacialist, he wrote back to my GP politely asking for confirmation that she agrees for me to go ahead with him for further tests on the NHS list.

If i had not phoned my Neuro 4 months later nothing would have happened as my doctor had filed the letter giving no responce.

I then asked my doctor if we could check my Hormone levels , she agreed but said wait untill you have finished with the MRI results.

So i wait for my MRI 2 months and get the results 1 month. = 3 months

I go back to my doctor and ask for the hormone test, i had my blood taken and asked me to come back in 6 months. I ask why?...reason..because you have to take 1 blood to present the second against and they need to be 6 months inbetween  why didnt we take the first blood while i was waiting on the MRI/neuro? 3 months wasted

In Septemebr of this year i had to go for further scans of internal organs for an operation, turns out the operation needs to be done under a different department, 3 months ago a letter was written to the second dept asking for my case to be viewed and my operation put on thier waiting list.

I rang my Speacialist today whos secratary has already packed up for the holidays , to find that the letter that was sent 3 months ago has never had a responce???

all in all 4+3+3 = 1 year of my life wasted on waiting times, through sheer lack of communication and lack of commonsence.
If The government want to help sick people back to work then they better start to act like it

I would be reporting your GP the local PCT. Bloody incompetent of her. Then again she is the one who didn't believe you had problms in the first place. She thought it was all psychological until you proved her wrong.

Want the icing on the cake, had a call from the specialist that i was first seen by who sent my file to be reviewed and fitted in by the second specialist.

Basically saying my file was sent over there has definitely been no response so i will have to contact the person they sent my file to ( being 2nd specialist) i felt like a second class citizen. So what if i wasn't able to chase my own problems or contact this " specialist" that doesn't reply to requests for patients to be reviewed.

Makes you want to just give up.

just rang them basically told them I'm peed right off, i haven't been well enough to keep track of this my self and most of not employed to chase my own records.
Told making complaint to PALS and the whole relationship changed.
notes being chased, request to have appointment back dated on waiting list by 3 months.

Still disgusting but at least its on the move. :)

Hi Honestly
iv'e been having to do this for near on 4 years now, starting with a trainee neurologist who should have been struck off for the way i was treated, but by the time iwas well enough to put together a complaint my complaint time had past.

I have to say im so tierd of it all now.

No matter how many times i complain my care doesnt get better.
Its because they are all unrelated problems.
If i had a related illness i could incapsulate them all and get it on a direction of kick ass :(

May complain lets see how this eventually unfolds, as i may well not get anywhere now.:)
