It is actually 25% and only for one month, which makes it simpler. Certainly is cheaper than unauthorised overdraft charges

Heard on the local news the other week about a woman offered a loan at 1.5 million % but can't find the story about it at the mo!

It is questionable for them to compare the percentage of interest paid, as shorter the term the lower the percentage

25% for one month would work out to be a flat rate of 300% pa. I appreciate that it is only short term borrowing but still

I know and I would never be tempted to use this type of facility, but I guess there are people who would.

Some of the more well known companies charge around 20 for each 100 borrowed. So, if you only borrow a small amount and you really can pay it back within a month then, as DL said, it is cheaper than the 35 charged by (for example) my bank as unauthorised charges.

I once had a charity DD bounced for 4.95 which ended up costing me 35 + 28 - anyone care to work out the APR on that one :D

I have a few hundred pounds to play with so if anyone would like a very short loan for 30 days I am quite will to take a repayament of 25% on this. Worked it out quickly for 600.00 lent each month at 25% in twelve months I would have a return of 1800.00 plus my 600.00 principle.

Me and my horse will be around to collect from you on the 30th day.

Are you and Choccie trying to pay homage to the spirit(s) of Dick Turpin and Bess? :D

Dick Turpin was the Highway who was hanged at York prison, don't know what they did to his nag though. I think you are thinking off the Hessian and Ickabod (who discovered who the headless horseman was - the Hessian) in Sleepy Hollow

Was this it? Maybe it's time to dust off the noose in York again:D
